LCD, IPS-panel and backlight replacements and upgrades.

Sega — Game Gear
This Japanese Sega Game Gear went through a lot: a full IPS LCD mod with speaker upgrade, FM sound module and glass lens, then a trip to the floor courtesy of a curious one-year-old that tore the flex cables. A clock-line bodge wire and a barely-surviving TP10 pad later, everything was restored.
Sega — Nomad
Sega Nomad with a broken aftermarket screen, brought back to life. Plus physical mods to restore CD audio mixing and add Master System game compatibility, both omitted from the original Nomad's design.
Nintendo — New 3DS XL
Three handhelds bought on eBay in 2020 to learn on. The New 2DS XL only needed its connectors reseating, while the 2DS and the New 3DS XL both needed screen replacements, the 3DS XL top screen being much the harder job, with corrosion and a break turning up on a flex cable along the way. All were put back to working order and given CFW, and two went on to new owners.
