I'm @hitmanmcc. This site is a public bench log — every console I bring back from the dead, every CRT I bring back to brightness, written up as it happens. Started with a Sega Mega-CD that wouldn't read discs in 2024 and didn't stop.

What I work on

Mostly retro consoles from the cartridge and CD eras — recapping rotted electrolytes, replacing dead optical drives, RGB-modding for clean output to a Trinitron, and the occasional from-scratch rebuild. CRT side: aperture grilles, flyback diagnostics, geometry adjustment, and the careful art of not getting bitten by a 25 kV anode.
