Full board recap on this Victor RG-M1 Wondermega (JVC's branding of the Sega Wondermega), complete with a laser sled clean. Drew blood for this one; photo evidence in the thread. Everything works; the motorised tray is just waiting on a replacement belt.

On the table today we have a Victor RG-M1 Wondermega. We start the refurbishment by recapping the AV board, the mega drive side and the CD-ROM board. Some leakage was visible in the usual spot near the regulators. Let's move on to the next boards. #Sega #RETROGAMING

Next we have the audio/karaoke effects board and the laser board. Nothing obviously wrong here. Also cleaned and lubricated the laser sled and, cut my finger. If you thought Wondermega ownership was pain free, think again. 😄 Let's fire her up!

Everything works, we have those lovely LEDs looking back at us. The motorised tray needs a little help opening but that's just because I don't have a spare belt right now. Road avengers to test the Mega-CD side and Earthion and Dynamite Headdy on Mega Drive duties.
