A bit of an identity crisis on this Nintendo GameCube pearl white: DOL-001 board in a DOL-101 shell, transplanted there many moons ago. Optical drive recapped as part of the GameCube maintenance day.
(1/5) Gamecube maintenance day. Replacing the caps on the optical drive PCBs. Started 4/5 drives dead, now 5/5 work. Huge success! Thanks @leonkiriliuk, I think it was in one of his posts that I read that the laser isn't usually the issue, it's the caps. #RETROGAMING #restoration
