PAL Nintendo GameCube DOL-101 in black, with a PicoBoot install using a WiiKey as the storage interface. The mainboard turned out to have almost entirely polymer caps, making the recap a very quick affair.

DOL-101 PicoBoot installation using WiiKey as storage media interface. Yet another cube with a dead laser brought to life. Thanks @webhdx installation pics were very useful. #RETROGAMING #GameCube #Nintendo #consolemodding

(1/5) Gamecube maintenance day. Replacing the caps on the optical drive PCBs. Started 4/5 drives dead, now 5/5 work. Huge success! Thanks @leonkiriliuk, I think it was in one of his posts that I read that the laser isn't usually the issue, it's the caps. #RETROGAMING #restoration

(3/5) This one needed caps and I bridged one of the lid switches because the lever was broken. Working well now. #RETROGAMING #CRT

(5/5) One big happy family. All of them now have working drives! #RETROGAMING #Nintendo #gamecube #restoration #repair

Almost at the last one. I took to tackling what would be the hardest one. 🤡🤣 I opened up the PAL DOL-101. Turns out, it's mostly polymer capacitors, so I ended up only replacing one capacitor. #RETROGAMING #Nintendo #GameCube #SonicDX
