Yamaha FX370C maintenance

August 14, 20251 thread~2 min read

Brought a used Yamaha FX370C up to a much better state with fret cleaning, lemon oil on the fretboard and a new set of strings. Was sceptical it would turn out well, but pleasantly surprised.

2/6 These are the materials I used. 0000 steel wool and fret guards to get rid of the oxidation on the frets. A Dunlop cleaning kit with ultimate lemon oil (for the fretboard and bridge) and guitar polish and clean (for the body). Some new D'Addario strings to finish it off.

5/6 Applying the polish to finish off the cleaning. A fair bit of elbow grease went into this.
