My childhood walkie-talkies, dug out so my daughter could use them for her pretend calls. A recap, some Deoxit and a clean sorted out the reliability issues.
My kid likes to play with old broken phones and pretend call me or her mom. So my mom thought it would be cool for her if we played using the walkie-talkies my brother and I used as kids. So, naturally, I had to restore them. Recapped, deoxit and cleaned them up (last pic).
Mind you they did still work (video) but, one of them would very easily stop working when being manipulated. That is no longer happening.
